Presentation of the gîte
Fully renovated during the spring 2020th, our gite La Maison de Jean is a former farm in the heart of the countryside of the region Finistère. Between calm and greenery, the place is perfect for a stay with family and friends. With 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, the house can accommodate from 2 to 8 guests. We can provide you extra bedrooms if you need in our guest house near the gite. Ideally situated, La Maison de Jean gives you access to many different activities, for both adults and children. You can easily come to La Maison de Jean by different modes of transport. In particular, the train station and the airport are only about 10km. You will also find 5km from the gite many convenient stores in Milizac, Gouesnou or Bohars.
Ground floor
The ground floor consists of three adjoining rooms. The open-kitchen is fully equipped for the happiness of the food lovers. The dining room has a table that can accommodate up to 8 people. The living room is equipped with 2 sofas (including a sofa bed). During the winter, you can warm up in front of the fire of the wood stove (wood is provided). A large library offers you a rich documentation on the region and all kinds of literature for your holidays. Puzzles and board games are also available to have fun with family or friends. Living room and dining room open through large bay windows onto the terrace and the garden.
A sanitary block with separate WC and a bathroom (with a walk-in shower and a heated towel rail) complete the ground floor.
On your arrival, you will have all the basic necessities in the gîte: various choices of teas, coffees, sugar, salt, oil, spices, etc. You will also find toilet paper, charcoal, garbage bags…
Top floor
Above the dining room, you will find two bedrooms. Nicely decorated and soundproofed, they both enjoy a view of the garden. Each of them has its own bathroom with towels and hairdryer, a desk with Internet access, shelves and a wardrobe. The Antoine room is equipped with a queen size bed (160 x 200cm), the Jean room with a double bed (140x200cm).
Above the living room, a third bedroom is accessible by a stunning spiral staircase. Ideal for children, it can accommodate up to 4 people thanks to its 4 separate beds:
- 2 beds of 80×200 which can be joined to make a queen size bed 160×200
- 2 beds of 100×190 which can be folded into an armchair.
A roof window opens onto the front garden, another onto the sheep field behind the gîte.
In the outside
The living room and the dining room open onto a large wooden terrace of more than 30m2. It is equipped with a large table, 8 metal chairs, a large adjustable parasol, and a barbecue with charcoal. In the 800m2 garden terrace, a lounge and deck chairs invite you to relax. For pétanque enthusiasts, you can play on our boules pitch in the garden. Other outdoor games are at your disposal in the garage of the gîte: Mölkky game, shuffleboard, croquet, balls, equipment for fishing on foot. The children will find a swing set up in the sheep field. The garage has places to store your bikes, a dryer and sockets for electric vehicles. In addition, 2 places in the private car park are reserved for you
